BRADD manages and writes the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan for your community. In order to do so, each community has committed to providing a certain amount of in-kind payment to offset the FEMA required match percentage of costs. This in-kind payment requires communities to dedicate a certain number of hours reviewing plan materials, attending meetings, and having conversations with BRADD staff. We need your help to fulfill this requirement. Click below to learn more about how we track and measure the in-kind and how you can help contribute.

Throughout the planning process, BRADD seeks community input through the form of surveys. These surveys are short (typically can be completed in 10min or less), and provide key information regarding our counties and communities. We encourage you to click the links below and provide us with your feedback.

Community Vulnerabilities Survey

In order to assess community risk, we need to understand which community assets may be vulnerable to natural hazards in the region. This survey focuses on vulnerable assets in your community and your preferred strategies to mitigate the risk to those assets.

Hazards Survey

This survey asks your opinion and experiences involving natural hazards and your exposure to preparedness information.

Mitigation Preparedness Survey

Households can mitigate and prepare for natural hazards in order to prevent damage to property, injuries, and loss of life. This survey focuses on your household’s preparedness for disaster events.

Time Tracking Form

COVID-19 has made participation increasingly difficult, and therefore BRADD is trying to track as much time as possible.  The information included in this BRADD Hazard Mitigation Portal (this website) and the BRADD HMP Mitigation Feedback Map both require review from city/county officials and employees.

To ensure that our communities reach these hour requirements, we would like for local government officials/employees to track the time they spend reviewing the HMP website and filling out the feedback app. The form below allows local government officials/employees to record the time they spend reviewing materials and providing feedback.
